The Blueprint Story

After many years in the building industry, and experience with some of the best in the industry, both here in New Zealand and extensively overseas, Chris and Georgia decided it was time to launch Blueprint Projects & Construction.

The Blueprint founders, Chris and Georgia could see that there was a gap in the market. A gap for a firm that held their customers at the core of their business and delivered an amazing customer experience.

Blueprint Projects is a small building company with big dreams. Chris and Georgia have grown the team since founding the company in 2017 and continue to grow.
By training and qualifying the next generation of builders, Blueprint Projects continues to support youth in the Kāpiti Horowhenua region.

Having extensive family ties to Kāpiti, Blueprint has a reliable network of vendors and contractors who are also based on the sunny Kāpiti Coast.,

Chris Darby

Together we realize your vision.

Chris says he was always destined to become a builder. After spending countless days as a child in timber yards around the country with his father, a timber salesman.

As a passionate outdoorsman at Outwardbound, Chris had a realisation that building was going to become his lifes work. Following this, Chris trained and worked with some of the best in the industry, both here and overseas.

As a passionate craftsman, Chris describes the joy and pride that the Blueprint team feels when they create a clients vision. He says that “Helping our clients build a home to be proud of, gives me pride and a great sense of accomplishment.”

Georgia Barchard

A smooth project starts and finishes with great organisation.

Heading up our Accounts and Administration team, Georgia
ensures that your project is ship shape from the first contract until completion.
With an eye for detail and creative flair, Georgia brings a wealth of administration experience having worked in local government and the private sector.

Recently Georgia has built two new family homes with Chris. This has given her a deep understanding of the process from a clients perspective.

Georgia enjoys gardening, and says “It’s been a great experience living on the coast and learning which plants are best suited to the windy environment!”
